First-Year-of-Issue .99999 Fine Gold
Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coins

For the first time in history, the Royal Canadian Mint has released a gold bullion coin with a .99999 fine gold designation.

Coins bearing the five nines attest to the purity of 99.999% fine gold in each coin. Without a doubt, these freshly minted, 2007 Canadian Maple Leaf gold coins set a new standard in minting history.

This new coin series won't replace the Mint's standard .9999 Gold Maple Leaf coins, but is an exclusive limited edition produced to show off the Royal Canadian Mint's engineering excellence in coin minting.

To honor this event, the Canadian Mint has totally recreated the five nines version of the Maple Leaf. This new design will be released for one year only and will be changed annually for what is reported to be a three year limited edition.

Minted in One Troy Ounce of Pure Gold - Each five nines Maple Leaf gold coin contains a full troy ounce of gold as indicated on each coin. Maple Leafs are among the most highly recognized and accepted gold in the world.

Gold bullion coins are traditionally desired by investors first and foremost for their pure gold content. However, some newly minted issues have also become highly prized by collectors.

The One 2007 Gold Coin To Own - We feel this new series has excellent collector potential in the years to come. Several unique factors, in our opinion, distinguish the five nine series of Canadian Gold Coins from all other modern issue gold coins.

Extraordinary QualityThis is the only official government gold coin minted to the standards of 99.999% fine gold. There is no equal to the five nines Maple Leaf coins.

Low MintagesThe Royal Canadian Mint has stated that no more than 30,000 five nine Maple Leaf coins will be struck in 2007. This is only a fraction of the comparable American Eagles which are often minted by the millions.

Quality, rarity, and desirability are the first and foremost trademarks of great coins. In addition, collectors have historically loved to hoard away the first year release of a new series and are reluctant to part with them. Anyone who waits around may be forced later to pay higher premiums to acquire the first year issues in order to complete their date sets.
