Peace Silver Dollars 1921-1935
Certified MS-64
Peace Silver Dollars were first struck as a symbol of America's desire for worldwide peace after "the war to end all wars."
Anthony De Francisci designed this coin which bears his monogram under
the neck of Liberty. Peace Silver Dollars were silver coins struck
intermittently from 1921 to 1935 for a total of only ten years and in
limited mintages.
Struck at the US Mints in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver, the
total mintage of the silver Peace Dollar is only a fraction of the
better-known silver coins, the Morgan Silver Dollars. Each Peace Silver
Dollar is about one and a half inches in diameter. By law, each contains
.7734 troy oz. of pure silver.
A Silver Dollar from the Roaring Twenties
The Peace Silver Dollar is a reflection of the
Roaring 20’s, a time when America’s future never looked brighter. The
industrial revolution was in full swing. Railroads were moving goods to
the West. Henry Ford was perfecting his revolution in car manufacturing
called "the assembly line."
The prices for Peace Silver Dollars are sure to increase dramatically in
the years ahead. Like all antiques, coins are more highly prized the
older they get. Today's hot rare coin market is likely to increase the
demand and drive up prices for these important U.S. Silver Dollars. Our
choice of dates which typically consist of Peace Dollars minted between
1922-1925.
Due to the limited number of years minted and the lower mintage totals, Peace Silver Dollars have always been harder to collect compared to the better known Morgan Silver Dollars.
Every Peace Silver Dollar in this release is guaranteed to be in Brilliant Uncirculated, "Near Gem" MS-64 condition certified by PCGS and NGC.
