$3 Indian Princess Gold Coins Minted from 1854-1889


The $3 Indian Princess gold coin is one of the more unusual coins in U.S. history. The $3 Indian Princess was minted from 1854-1889, with a very low production. 

James Longacre designed this rare coin by depicting Lady Liberty as an Indian princess, and gave her a band across her headdress that carried the word Liberty. This rare gold coin is the only three dollar gold coin in American coinage, which makes the $3 gold Indian Princess coin a truly wonderful addition to any gold coin collection.
