Gold $5 Liberty Gold Coins Minted from 1839-1908


Collectors love the $5 Liberty series. They are one of two coins in our nation's history minted at all seven branches of the U.S. Mint.

In fact, the $5 Liberty is the first gold coin struck as official legal tender of the United States. Often referred to as a "Half Eagle" it was first struck in 1795 and minted through 1907.
