  • Sacagawea Dollar 2000 - P Specimen 67 PCGS

On April 5, 2000, Glenna Goodacre, designer of the obverse of the Sacagawea dollar, was paid her commission of $5,000 with specially produced Sacagawea Dollars. They were delivered to her Santa Fe, New Mexico studio by Mint Director Phil Diehl. He was joined by other Mint personnel and two Mint guards. This 2000 dated Sacagawea Dollar is considered a "Presentation Piece", one of the actual coins presented to Ms. Goodacre as payment for her work. It has been graded by PCGS in a Specimen 67 condition and the label is hand-signed by Philip Diehl, the 25th director of the US Mint. These are highly desirable modern issues and are very difficult to come by in any condition. The coin pictured is the actual coin you will receive. Learn More
