Morgan Dollar (Not PCGS/NGC)

Morgan Silver Dollars were issued in large quantities from 1878-1921 and were struck at five different U.S. Mints. Each coin contains exactly .77345 ounces of pure silver and they depict Lady Liberty on the obverse with a heraldic eagle on the reverse. All of the coins in this section have not been certified by PCGS or NGC, but have been hand-selected by our numismatists for quality and eye appeal. Questions or need advice?   • BU - 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars Brilliant Uncirculated Condition

    Since the first day they were struck in 1878, these big, beautiful Silver Dollars have captured the hearts of American coin collectors. Possible the most coveted design type for all U.S. Coinage. Designed by George T. Morgan, formally a pupil of William Wyon of the Royal Mint in London.

    Silver Dollar coinage was suspended after 1904, when demand was low and the Bullion supply became exhausted. Under provisions of the Pittman Act of 1918 (270,232,722 Silver Dollars) were melted down, and later in 1921 coinage of the Morgan Silver Dollar resumed. $1 Morgan Silver Dollars were struck in Philadelphia, Carson City, Denver, New Orleans and San Francisco, with numerous different variety types.

    Grading Standards for these Morgan Silver Dollars are: Brilliant Uncirculated (BU or MS, No trace of wear, Full Mint luster, may have noticeable scuff or bag marks) Each coin contains ..77344 ounces of pure Silver, and they can have a range of dates and mint marks. Although numerous variety types, there are a total of 118 coins in the program. There is a combined mintage of 657,401,296 minus the 270,232,722 that were melted, leaving 387,168,574.

    Each one of our selection have been hand selected for exceptional eye appeal and guaranteed to be in Brilliant Uncirculated Condition. They come packaged in Mint Rolls of 20 coins.
