$2.5 Liberty Coin PCGS/NGC

The $2 1/2 Liberty Head gold coin, often referred to as a Quarter-Eagle, was first issued in 1840 and was discontinued in 1908. Millions of coins were issued over the years at several branch mints, however, most coins have been lost, melted, or destroyed. Because of their smaller sizes and relatively low mintages they are very popular with investors and collectors today. All coins in this section have been been graded by either PCGS or NGC, the top two grading services in the industry. Questions?
