  • MS - 64 $10 Liberty Head Gold NGC/PCGS Certified

Struck from 1838-1907, the $10 Liberty holds the distinction of being the longest running series of United States coins ever produced by the United States Mint. In 1838, the weight and diameter of the eagle were reduced and the obverse and reverse were redesigned. Liberty now faces left and the word LIBERTY is placed on the coronet.

A more natural-appearing eagle is used on the reverse. The value TEN D., is shown for the first time on this denomination. $10 Liberty Head gold coins were struck in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Carson City, Denver and San Francisco.

  • 1895-P $20 Liberty Gold PCGS/NGC MS-63

We absolutely love the current value that can be found in Double Eagles from the late 1800's and early 1900's. We particularly look for issues with either low mintages, low survival rates, and particularly when they can be acquired at a very small premium in price to common dates like the 1904. The 1895 Philly Double Eagle is, in our opinion, a significantly undervalued issue in choice uncirculated mint state 63 condition. In fact, only 6,915 coins are certified by PCGS and NGC combined in this lofty grade, making it over twenty one times rarer than a common date for less than a 10 percent premium in price. Highly recommended and very few available--coin shown may not be the exact coin you receive but indicative of the quality you can expect. Looking for other, rarer dates or thinking about placing a larger order? Call us at 1-800-928-6468 and let us give you the best pricing possible. Learn More

What is the best value in gold? A lot of people have been asking us why the price of gold has risen a hundred dollars an ounce since last November and what the best value in gold is. The answer we give them is that the recent fluctuation of the stock market, with wild sell-offs and volatility, may offer a great entry point into gold and other precious metals.

In our opinion, $20 gold pieces that contain just under an ounce of gold, certified in Mint State 63 condition offer the best value. Take the 1894 San Francisco $20 gold piece… When you compare it to a Common Date like 1904 it is over 87 times rarer base on surviving populations, But it only cost $300 more dollars. It’s a great deal and if you take other dates from the 1890s they can be found to have 10% to 25% Premiums over Common Date coins while being dozens of time rarer.
