This is the second year of issue of large copper cents by the fledgling United States. Rarely do we handle this in any condition and when we do, they are often damaged or have been harshly cleaned. This particular example has not met that fate, however, and has been certified by NGC in Extremely Fine 40 condition.
Like most early cents, this coin has a dark brown hue. It is evenly worn on the high points with no distracting cuts or scratches. Lady Liberty is shown facing right on the obverse with her flowing hair pulled back and the reverse shows a wreath with the words, "one cent" in the middle and a 1/100 on the bottom, indicating 1 cent. Coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
