1810 Chile 8 Escudo PCGS AU-58
Issued in Chile over 200 years ago, this is truly a stunning gold 8 escudo in all regards. From the lustrous and bright yellow-gold surfaces to the amazing strike on both sides, the detail appears to be far better than an AU-58 would imply. The date ‘1810 ‘ is hand-cut at the bottom and the image of Ferdinand VII is shown in lifelike detail on the front.
Mintage is unknown but there are well under 80 coins certified by PCGS and NGC in all grades combined. Lovely coin far nicer than most examples we have seen in mint state holders. Coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
