1862 Mexico 8 Escudo NGC AU-55

We feel this Mexican gold series from 1823-1873 is highly undervalued in the current world gold coin marketplace.
Containing .76 oz. of pure gold, this particular coin was struck in Guanajuato, Mexico during the U.S. Civil War. Normally softly struck in the centers, this example has bold detail and you can clearly see the lettering in the book of law. The reverse shows a boldly struck eagle in vivid detail all around. Great coin for the money and very popular with collectors at this price point.
