The 1882 Carson City silver dollar is not as common as the 1883 and 1884 CC's, however, you don't have to pay a big premium for its rarity in comparison. This year had a lower mintage of 1.133 million in 1882 Carson City, Nevada and today acquiring attractive superb gems like this Mint State 66 is becoming more and more difficult.

For the money versus the rarity in MS-66, the coin makes a lot of sense to us at current levels: under 2,200 are in MS66 between PCGS and NGC combined and under 200 examples are known finer. Seems like a great value for under $2K, plus the coin looks amazing.
