We are very impressed by the current value offered by $20 Liberties from the late 1800s and early 1900s. In particular, years that offer a combination of low mintages and survival rates that trade for a very small premium in price to common dates like 1904. We call these "Better-Date" $20 Liberties.

This 1899 Philadelphia $20 Liberty in Mint State 63 is a great example. Compared to the common 1904, it is 14 times more rare, yet it can be acquired for around only about 15% more. Excellent value for the money particularly when considering it also has .9675 oz. of pure gold.
