This stunning issue commemorates the independence of Texas in 1836, with the large lone star found on the obverse.
This three coin set contains one coin from each mint issued in 1937: Philly, San Fran and Denver. Each of the three issues had a mintage of around 6,500 coins so they are quite rare in any condition, especially in the high grade of Mint State 66 found here.
