This silver drachm was struck during the reign of Vologases VI, one of the final rulers of the Parthian Empire before its collapse to the Sasanian dynasty. Reigning from approximately AD 207 to 222, Vologases VI presided over a fractured kingdom marked by civil strife and external pressures from Rome.
