Why You Should Buy MS-64 $10 Liberties Now!
From time to time, our research leads us to believe that certain areas of the Pre-1933 U.S. gold market are a screaming buy. Right now, $10 Liberty Head Gold Coins certified in near gem Mint State-64 fit the bill.
$10 Liberty Heads were issued from 1838-1907 and contain just under a half-ounce of pure gold. Those that have been preserved and certified in near-gem, Mint State-64 condition are severely limited in availability, with less than 22,000 coins in all graded by PCGS and NGC. Not only that, but the coins are gorgeous in such high grades with excellent strikes, minimal marks, and great luster.
Market prices on this material are usually driven by two things: the underlying value of their gold along with supply and demand dynamics.
With so few of them graded in Mint State-64, it takes very little pressure, promoting, and capital to move such a thinly traded market, particularly at today's prices.
In addition, they appear to be very well guarded on the downside with MS-63 examples bringing around $975 per coin. In the next grade up, MS-65, they soar in value to over $3,200 per coin. So, we have strong support on the downside and a huge jump in price at the next grade, solidifying our thoughts that the best values lie in the Mint State-64's.
Inventories Are Very Thin At the Coin Convention in Baltimore last week, our Buying Trust walked the floor and quietly accumulated around 100 coins. In doing so, we noticed there was a remarkable lack of inventory and that any more buying pressure could push prices higher suddenly.
If there is a surge in the gold price and/or the realization in the industry that $10 Liberties in MS-64 are nowhere to be found, then things could really get interesting. In 2006, when gold was trading around $600, these very same coins were trading dealer to dealer for over $2,400 each.
While our supplies last, we are offering $10 Liberty Heads in Mint State 64 for only $1,349 per coin, or just $1,325 with a check or wire. Twenty coin orders will be shipped in NGC boxes.
