Austin Rare Coins is pleased to release a very limited quantity of 550 year-old Spanish Gold issued under Ferdinand and Isabella. These classic and beautiful coins are hand-hammered and have been preserved in an incredibly high condition.

These were part of a larger group discovered in Spain last year and this is the first and only release here in our country. Because we acquired the entire group of 27 coins, we are able to offer them today well below normal market pricing for these items, particularly in such high grades.

Referred to as Double Excelentes (the word doubloon came from the word “doble”) these are large-sized gold coins that have been certified and graded by PCGS or NGC and range in grades from About Unc. 55 up to one pristine example graded Mint State 63+.
