First-Ever Proof Palladium American Eagle

Last Thursday the US Mint website was overloaded with collectors and investors clamoring for the first-ever Proof Palladium American Eagle. To nobody’s surprise, the mintage of 15K literally sold out in minutes.

While we do not yet know pricing on certified Proof 69 and Proof 70 examples, we have secured a number of coins through our dealer network and as soon as possible we will have them certified and available for sale.

The buying frenzy last week proved tha t there is far more demand than there is supply. Because of this, we’re compiling a running want-list so that we can offer coins on a first-come, first served basis once they’re back in our hands from the grading services.

About the Palladium American Eagle Series

This is the first-ever (perhaps only) proof version of the coveted palladium coin issued by the U.S. Mint. If you haven't seen them, everyone agrees it is one of the most beautiful coin releases by our country in many years

This stunning coin contains one pure ounce of .9995 fine palladium struck in a proof finish. The inaugural 2017 Bullion issue had a mintage of just 15,000—and now in 2018 only 15,000 Proofs are also being released.

This modern masterpiece features the classic Mercury Dime design with Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, reminiscent of the Roman gold Mercury. The reverse depicts a majestic eagle perched atop a rock along with the weight, purity and face value of $25. The coin is struck in an impressive and lifelike proof, high-relief design, well-worthy of being called an American Eagle.
