Silver American Eagles are the most highly demanded silver bullion coin in the world. Since their inception in 1986, these beautiful one ounce coins have been produced in quantities to meet investor and collector demand.
In recent years it has become increasingly difficult to assemble complete sets, particularly with every coin certified in a high grade.
In 2014, over 42 million Silver Eagles were sold. However, several issues from the 1990's have extremely low mintage figures and are difficult to obtain. Check out these mintages from the 1990's:
- In 1994, only 4.22 million were issued.
- In 1995, only 4.67 million were issued.
- In 1996, only 3.6 million were issued.
- In 1997, only 4.29 million were issued.
The four dates listed above will always be the key dates in the series and are incredibly tough to locate in any condition, particularly in MS-69 and above.
We have assembled 40 complete, 30-coin sets of Silver American Eagles containing on example from every date from 1986-2015. Better yet, every coin has been graded by NGC in near-perfect Mint State 69.

- We rarely see the key dates mentioned above in any condition and far less in MS-69.

- A Mint State 70 set, if you can find one, brings well over $35,000!
