Lady Liberty has been re-imagined as African American for the first time ever. She wears a coronet of stars and is surrounded by the inscriptions "Liberty", "In God We Trust", and the dates 1792 and 2017 marking the mint's 225 year history.
As you can see, the premium proof finish is an ideal complement to the High Relief strike which creates greater depth and dimension to the coin's features.
Along with the emblematic flying eagle on the reverse is the famous "W" mint-mark and the rare "100 Dollars" face value which is being used on
an
American coin for only the 2nd time ever.
