The word “proof” refers to a specialized minting process that creates a coin with a stunning two-tone finish featuring a highly reflective background contrasted with frosted, matte design features. The already popular 2024 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar Series is now available in this equally popular proof finish, which PCGS graded as Perfect-70s.
As usual, we’re featuring the two-coin set, which features one Morgan and one Peace Dollar in PCGS PROOF-70 First Strike, though each coin is available individually as well. Call 1-800-928-6468 to secure yours now, or ORDER ONLINE HERE. The US Mint continues to limit the mintages for this series with only 300,000 Proof Morgan and Peace Dollars issued. That means only 150,000 two-coin sets and even fewer in perfect Proof-70 grades like these. Each silver dollar was made at the San Francisco branch mint as indicated by the famous “S” mint mark, and the proof features look extra impressive thanks to their large size (.859 oz. of .999-fine silver).
These are the second issues of the 2024 Morgan and Peace Dollar Series. MS-70s were the first, and we have a few left if you missed them.
