1143-1163 Silver Denier of the Knights Templar

Silver deniers are the very coins crusaders carried and used nine hundred years ago in the Holy Land. Because they were produced by amateur craftsmen they are most often found crudely made and most survivors that exist today are horribly worn and ugly. Regardless, coins of the Knights Templar are desirable and high-end examples like this are seldom encountered. This is undoubtedly one of the finest in existence.

Silver “Legion” Denarius of Marc Antony

Gorgeous gunmetal-blue toned denarius of Marc Antony. The “legionary denarii” of Marc Antony are among the most recognizable and collectible of all ancient coins. Though Antony produced a variety of coin types from 44 to 31 B.C., the legionary type is by far his most popular and this is the finest we have handled.

Struck in Mexico City in 1809 this example is firmly in the top 10 percent ever graded. Incredible coin with a great look and seems like a real bargain for under 2k.

We love these early dated Spanish colonial coins, particularly the large silver eight reales. This 1753 dated coin is the finest certified example out of just 87 total graded by NGC and PCGS in all grades combined! We love the way the date “1753” is shown on the obverse.

1470s Ferdinand and Isabella Gold Two Excellente

Seldom seen in any condition, these elusive and important gold 2 excelentes were minted in the late 1400's and early 1500's in Spain under the union of Ferdinand and Isabella. These are the very coins that funded Columbus' trip to America and there are around only 300 of them certified in all grades today. Remarkable find and each is one of a kind and hammered by hand.
