Struck nearly 2,400 years ago, this ancient coin is struck from the metal electrum, which is mixture of gold and silver. This particular coin is called a "hecte", or 1/6th stater. The obverse depicts an intricately detailed female portrait, and the back, like most electrum coinage, has a geometric incuse punch. Great coin for the price and coin shown is the exact one you will receive.
