The magnificent $20 St. Gaudens Gold Coin, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, is considered by many to be the most beautiful coin produced by the U.S. Mint. It is the largest U.S. gold coin minted for circulation. Each one was made using .9675 ounces of pure gold and is over 1¼ inches in diameter.
$20 St. Gaudens Gold Coins were struck in Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. Grading standards for these $20 Saint-Gaudens are: About Uncirculated (AU, Trace of wear on nose, breast and knee. Wear visible on eagle’s wing.)
Each coin contains .96750 ounces of pure gold, and they will have a range of dates. There are a total of 52 coins in the program with a combined mintage of 70,272,830. Each one has been hand selected to be in About Uncirculated condition and can also be purchased packaged in Mint Rolls of 20 coins.
