A green CAC sticker rides on the holder of this 1910-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, confirming the coin is solid for its MS-64 grade. Denver struck 429,000 double eagles in 1910, and the great majority later shipped overseas or went to the melting pots of the 1930s. Choice Mint State survivors reach the market far less often than that mintage suggests, so the date carries real weight with Saint-Gaudens collectors. A Denver mintmark on a 1910 twenty adds its own following on top of that.

The obverse carries Liberty striding forward from a sunburst, torch raised in her right hand and an olive branch held out in her left, with the Capitol dome small at her feet. Forty-six stars ring the border, one for each state in the Union when the type began, and the date sits at lower right with the D mintmark just above it. On the reverse an eagle flies left above a rising sun, its feathers rendered in fine lines of sharp relief, while IN GOD WE TRUST curves along the lower field. Augustus Saint-Gaudens modeled both sides in high sculptural style, and the strike here brings up Liberty's gown folds and the eagle's wing detail cleanly.

PCGS graded this double eagle MS-64, and CAC reviewed it and applied its green sticker. The surfaces keep full original mint luster with warm orange-gold color across both sides, and the fields show only the light scattered marks expected at this level. Eye appeal runs above average for the grade, with no distracting abrasions on Liberty's thigh or the eagle's breast where contact usually lands. A CAC-approved MS-64 sits in the sweet spot for this date, offering choice quality without the jump to the far scarcer Gem levels. For those seeking a well-struck, attractive 1910-D twenty for a date set or a Saint-Gaudens type collection, this coin delivers.
